Projects

How many unfinished projects are staring you in the face or cluttering up your head? Are you allowing "what-ifs" and "buts" and the lack of time to get in the way of completing your great work? This workshop offers you an opportunity to dedicate a whole day to sparking new ideas, gaining fresh perspectives and taking actions to revive a project that's been longing for your attention.

Sample project ideas include:

  • Envision an interactive sculpture for a park
  • Innovate an iPhone application

  • Refine the story arc for a novel
  • Organize a vision for a non-profit

To prepare for your JOLT of creativity, we’ll provide you with some exercises to complete prior to the workshop so that we can hit the ground running when we meet July 23 in downtown San Francisco!

Creative minds adore these kinds of personal investigations into our process. We always walk away richer for it—it's like candy to a kid.

I revisited all my JOLT notes today. There are gems everywhere. I'd say that the JOLT experience was even more exhilarating and meaningful today. And as we know really good movies and really good workshops have that characteristic in common.
—Leo Maseli, screenwriter

Marlene's JOLT Creativity workshop was fabulous. I loved the breadth of activities she offered to spark new ideas and see our projects in new ways. Plus the other folks were interesting and fun.
—Lisa Zimmerman, public spaces consultant

I came away from this workshop with a stronger, more concrete focus to my project. The creative exercises opened up my process in a lovely way.
—Laurie Halsey Brown, artist and instructor

I've known intellectually that speaking was my primary passion and calling. Now I know it in an embodied way. I feel it. Feels Fantastic! Now I can adjust my branding/marketing before it goes public. The timing of this was, not surprisingly, perfect. Thank you!
